Pet euthanasia and cremation pricing in Fresno, CA
Your credit card is required to reserve your appointment. However, no payment is required until the appointment and nothing is due until the appointment is completed
We charge cancellation fee of $100 if an appointment is cancelled less than 4 hours before the start time. If your pet passes away before your appointment you would not be charged a cancellation fee. If the vet you scheduled is able, and you would like their assistance with cremation, then pickup fee would apply instead of euthanasia fee
Other Consideration
If you have a larger pet, your vet may need the help of one friend or family member. Talk to your vet about options and limitations when they reach out to you prior to your appointment, and they will inform you of any extra cost for your situation.
Options for your pets return home and memorabilia depend on your local provider. Your vet coordinate the return of your pet’s ashes and let you know if there are additional fees for urn delivery.
Extra time or medications needed can affect the total price. Other factors can be if it is decided that it’s not time to euthanize your pet after the vet has arrive. In that case, only the travel fee, platform fee, and a quality of life consult would apply.
FAQs
The total cost includes the in-home pet euthanasia service fee, any travel fee (if any apply), and a platform fee. Additionally, depending on your choice, fees may apply for cremation services or keepsakes.
During your appointment, your vet will confirm your aftercare selection with you. If you choose to arrange cremation services, your vet will oversee your pet’s transportation to a local facility for cremation. If your preferred cremation option includes the return of your pet’s ashes to you, your vet will discuss the process to reunite you with your pet's ashes and the anticipated time frame during your appointment
Yes, upon arrival the veterinarian will assess your pet. This can look different than an “nose to tail” examination in a clinic setting and will focus more on the pet’s history and quality of life.
It is not uncommon to have doubts about whether the time is right. If you’ve taken the Quality of Life Questionnaire and are still unsure, we recommend consulting with your family veterinarian before scheduling an appointment.
Rest assured, if you book an appointment, your in-home euthanasia veterinarian will let you know if they do not believe that euthanasia is appropriate at this time.
You can expect your veterinarian to be in your home from 20-60 minutes, depending on how much of that time you need or want throughout the process.

My little girl had a stroke or something and could not get up on her own or walk more than a few steps without falling. Since she was always scared and shaking at the vet we decided on in home euthanasia. I called Codapet and scheduled the appointment. The lovely young vet came to our home, tsked to us about Sugars condition. She reassured us that Sugar was in pain as she was crying alot. The vet gave her a tranquilizing shot and she went into a peaceful sleep, then administered the medication that stopped her heart. She then examined her for heartbeat or pulse to make sure it was final and left the room for us to have a private moment with our dog. She came back with a small gurney, wrapped Sugar gently in s blanket and placed her on the gurney to take her away for cremation. The whole process was very dignified and although we were grieving , we were glad she was no longer in pain. I highly recommend it for those who want a peaceful passing of their pet in the comfort and security of their own home.
Dr. Diana Gersten was absolutely wonderful. She was very responsive through text message, and helped me make the tough decision of putting my sweet kitty boy to rest. Her presence was very calming and she explained everything as she did it. She gave us as much time as we needed to love and kiss on him before she took him. She delivered his body to Monarch Pet Memorial Services where they did an absolutely beautiful job memorializing my baby. Thank you Dr. Gersten for making an awful situation bearable, and for your kindness, compassion, and patience with me.
Dr Laurie Noe is gentle ,kind and loyal to put Holly to sleep. She held me when i cried 😢. I was so. impressed with the she took Holly with her. I just said goodbye Holly. We will meet in heaven someday soon.

We had hoped that our beloved “pup,” Bella would pass peacefully in her sleep but it was evident she was struggling and in pain. She had lived for 15 years, 2 months, and 4 days and gave us all the joy and love she had. We needed to understand that we, in turn needed to love her enough to send her on her next journey. It was time to seek in home pet euthanasia. Bella’s veterinarian only performed euthanasia in her clinic and recommended Dr. Natalie Dennis at CodaPet. We made an appointment for the next day. It is certain that Dr. Natalie Dennis is an “angel,” she made us feel as comfortable as possible with our decision. She took the time with us that we needed. She explained the procedure and went through each step in detail that would make sure Bella would pass peacefully. She answered all of our questions. Dr. Dennis was compassionate and gentle with our Bella. We believe it was providence that sent Dr. Natalie Dennis to us. Dr. Natalie Dennis, DVM is absolutely phenomenal. If you ever have to make this decision, we highly recommend her. She gets many more than five stars from us.
What am incredibly difficult decision it is lead your baby to the Rainbow Bridge. My Chloe had turned 14 on Valentine's Day, and although she'd been slowing down for over a year, the beginning of March proved that she was getting markedly worse. After researching home euthanasia services I decided on CodaPet. I was able to schedule the date and time on line which was simple but anything but easy. Dr Lori arrived at the appointed time and was very understanding and respectful. She answered all of our questions and honored all of our wishes. She was gentle and caring and treated our Chloe with the utmost respect. I would absolutely recommend Dr Lori and CodaPet for anyone having to go through this gut wrenching part of being a dog parent.😭
Dr Marlene was absolutely amazing. Her knowledge of what happens and how our other pup Daisy Mae would react was spot on. She was able to transition our boxer peacefully and without any pain. We can not thank her enough.
